How to do hair for competition

Good Shepherd competition hair for girls is a nice tight pony high pony tail with all hair gelled or sprayed back off face.

The best way to do it is to brush all the hair back and secure at the highest point of the back of the head in a strong hair band the same colour as the child's hair.

Use gel, mousse or hairspray to keep hair pulled back neatly from face.

If your child has a short fringe they can keep it down.

If your child has a long fringe we need to pin it back off the face to ensure no hair in eyes.

If your child has shorter hair then pull as much as you can back off the face and secure with hair tie.

The Good Shepherd bow should be put on last and is only used as a decoration (do not use it as the primary band for securing the hair as this will decrease the life span of your bow).  The bow sits up on the head with the "ribbon" lengths at the bottom and the bow at the top. The bow faces towards the front (not towards the back)

Good Shepherd competition hair for boys is some sort of cool spike, sharks fin or side sweep.  The main aim for boys is to get hair off the face and spray it back so that hair does not end up in eyes.

Thank you to our lovely cheer models India and Rory.
